You already know the Obama love wasn't about to end just because the Election's over. I meant to post this one on Friday, but better late than never. Here is my dude Diz Gibran's dedication to the President Elect, "Black Emperor."
The homie Diz Gibran pays tribute to the late great Isaac Hayes by spazzin' for 6 minutes over his classic, "Ike's Mood." Diz's rendition is called "Ike's Mood Revisited." Be on the lookout for a new tape from Diz by the end of the year.
I was just about to post Diz Gibran's Vimby piece when I got this song in my inbox. In the Vimby piece we get a clip of Diz' live show as well as a look at Diz and his producer Moonshine putting together the song below, "Calypso Flow." The song is tight, and that new mixtape should be coming soon.
This weeks' Hip Hop Official artist of the week is L.A. emcee Diz Gibran. This kid has bars for days, and I'm definately lookin' forward to his upcoming mixtape. In the interview he talks about his affiliation with The Great Wall crew, his chemistry with his producer Moonshine, and where he's been the last few years. Follow me after the jump for his Vimby freestyle.
Being that NY is where I've spent the better portion of my life I had to make that Brooklyn post a few weeks ago and show love. But, in the case of all fairness, I also have to show love to my state or origin and make an LA post (I'll be back soon, scream at ya boy). Here are some of the joints comin out of LA that have caught my attention as of late: Diz Gibran featuring BJ The Chicago Kid "Truly Yours", and TiRon feat. Tunji and Ayomari "Quitter." Both songs bang. For more out of Cali follow me after the jump for video of Inverse's and Pac Div's performances for Vimby.
