Before her recent show at Joe's Pub NYC (I'll upload my footage soon), UK's Soul Culture TV caught up with Georgia singer, Brittany Bosco. By now you should have heard her incredible project Spectrum 2.0. Today, find out about the woman behind the voice. In this clip she describes her musical inspirations and vocal texture, her creative process, and the concept behind her upcoming LP, Black (also possibly to be named Noir). If you haven't done so yet, get Brittany's free project, Spectrum 2.0.
Savannah native, Brittany Bosco, put out one of my favorite projects of '08 with her Spectrum EP. I posted a sample of the EP with her video for "Blues For Blue/"Black and White" awhile back. Spectrum somewhat flew under the radar, so today Brittany put out Spectrum 2.0 (re:release) to give it new life. A free album featuring a compilation of new/remixed material from the underground indie/experimental soul siren. You can stream or download the genre-bending project after the jump, I promise you it's the best ish you've heard in a long time.
Last week I had the pleasure of meeting a singer out of Savannah, Georgia, by the name of Brittany Bosco. She easily moved the crowd with her incredible voice and stage presence at this show at Santos Partyhouse (I'll upload vids later on in the week). She put me on to this video of hers (her first), that she just put out last week for "Blues For Blue"/"Black and White." Watch as Brittany evokes the feel of Billie Holiday in this BangPop! directed video. She has been branded by some as "the future of electro experimental soul music." Get another sample with this track "Black Keys." Brittany's Spectrum EP is in stores now.
