Production duo K-Salaam & Beatnick are back with another remix to a classic. Today it's Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin' On" that gets the treatment. I preferred their remix of The Jackson 5's "Never Can Say Goodbye," but this joint right here definitely can get burn too. These remixes will appear on K & B's upcoming project, Never Can Say Goodbye.

As much as we have been talking about it, you should be well aware that K'Naan's album, Troubadour, is in stores now. If you made that purchase, you may already have the blend tape, You Can't Buy This, that comes with the CD (in select stores). You Can't Buy This (mixed by K-Salaam & Beatnick) is a collection of unreleased tracks by K featuring collabos with Mos Def, Nelly Furtado and more. Download the tape below, and go buy Troubadour if you haven't done so already.
Production duo K-Salaam & Beatnick are readying the release of their internet compilation album, Where The Streets Have No Name. The project is presented by Imeem and illRoots, and entirely produced by K-Salaam & Beatnick. We gave you the first single a few weeks back, and here is the follow up, "I'm Fine," by Colin Munroe and Young Buck, of all people. I become more of a fan of Colin's music with every listen, and even in the G-Unit days I thought Buck was nice. I'd say K-Salaam & Beatnick are 2/2 so far with this album.
Our friends over at illroots have teamed up with production duo K-Salaam & Beatnick to put together a free digital album titled The Streets Have No Name. Today, we have the first single off the project, "In Jamaica," by K'Naan and Buckshot. Watch above as K and Buckshot Shorty explain how the song came together and what it means to them.
Leave it to Invincible to tackle a subject that seems to have been swept under the rug by American media. I should hope everyone is at least somewhat aware of what has been going on on the Gaza Strip. On this K-Salaam & Beatnick produced track, "The Emperor's Clothes," Invincible vents her frustrations on the crisis. Click here for a good place to catch yourself up on the situation, and to get involved, go here. Before anyone claims bias, keep in mind that Invincible herself is Israeli. A video for this song is coming soon. Holla at Fresh Selects for more info.
