Episode 34 of Diva Speak TV has just arrived and it's themed around the news that's on everyone's mind: the aftermath of the Obama election. Supawoman of the week goes to Amanda's godmother for her amazing efforts in Obama's campaign. Let Down of the week going to the post-election racists (i. e. Nader, you lost in the worst way). So check out the full 10 minute episode, it's entertaining as always. Also of note is the video Diva posts of Obama shooting hoops - when was the last time we had a Prez who could do THAT??!!
?uestlove sits down with JumpoffTV to talk about the change he feels Obama will bring. I know I was at a loss for words last night after the news finally sunk in. As most of you here are aware, ?uestlove has been doing his part in Obama's grass roots campaigning from the beginning. In this video, ?uesto gives his emotional response to Barack Obama being elected President of the United States and warns agains the dangers of feeling complacent as the real work has really yet to begin.
Its been eight long years since these four guys from Philly said wassup to each other. They are back, and giving us the "true" perspective of Joe Sixpacks everywhere with their latest commercial, this time for Obama. We don't normally post stuff like this (keep it focused on music) but even after over 3 million views, we wanted to play our little part to support these cats from Philly (you know how we do) and of course continue to rep for Obama with only four days to go until Election Day! ... True.
DJ Green Lantern's much delayed Barack Obama Yes We Can: The Mixtape finally dropped yesterday. The tape is hosted by Russell Simmons and has an All-Star lineup including Talib Kweli, Kanye West, Wale, Busta Rhymes and many more. Hip-Hop is really making that 9th inning push for our man Obama. All the talk is cool, but let's make sure we all do our part on the 4th when it counts so all these mixtapes, t-shirts and PSA's don't go in vain.
