Mayer Hawthorne's new album, A Strange Arrangement, was just recently released digitally, and it has already reached top 10 status on the iTunes charts. This is a really well put together project. Lets all support and get it into the top 5. To go along with this news, Stones Throw has also supplied us with Astronote's El Camino remix of Mayer's song "Just Ain't Gonna Work Out."

Congratulations to all those who were behind the Notorious movie which pulled in 21.5 million at the box office this past weekend, putting it in third place. I decided to wait 'til this weekend before I go see it myself, but it has been getting good reviews from the press so far. To get myself back in that Biggie mind-state, I'll be bumpin' Bigger and Better (The Notorious Remixes) mixed by DJ Graffiti and hosted by Talib Kweli. The tape is entirely produced by Astronote and features Kweli, Erykah Badu, Bahamadia, Buff1, Big L, Busta Rhymes, Guilty Simpson, and more. After many delays and just about as much press as you will ever see on a Hip-Hop related movie, Notorious is in theaters today. As you would expect the Biggie themed mixtapes are coming in left and right to compliment the movie. On Monday DJ Graffiti will be putting out "Bigger & Better (The Notorious Remixes) hosted by Talib Kweli.
