In this clip Alchemist and Evidence (The Step Brothers) sit down for an interview with Jabari at Rock The Bells. In the clip they discuss which one of them two emcee/producers is better, Alchemist's busy schedule, his latest album, and why he works well with certain artists. Evidence talks about achieving success without mainstream support. Hopefully that Step Brothers album will be dropping soon.
Alchemist is back with more solo material and for his first single he teamed up with Twista and Maxwell and made us "Smile." Check out the debut of the video directed by Jason Goldwatch above and mark your calendars for July 7th when Al's album Chemical Warfare is in stores. This video has more set ups than a volleyball tournament. Be on the look out for Goldwatch and ALC's mixed-media group, Media Muerte, coming later.
Note: This is the unedited version of the song and video. The version leaked this morning by the label is the edit made for television, which by the way also rather oddly called for the blurring out of Alchemist's "Free Prodigy" t-shirt.
One of the hardest (if not the hardest) tracks on Evidence's The Layover EP was "The Far Left" featuring Alchemist and Fashawn. The trio goes in once again for "Far Left 2" produced by The Alchemist. Step Brothers (Ev + Al) the album is coming soon, and Fash's debut, Boy Meets World, will be out this summer.

I don't know how this trio linked up, but here's The Alchemist's new single, "Smile," featuring Twista and Maxwell. I'm also still not sure how it's humanly possible for Twista to rhyme that fast. The song is off Al's upcoming album Chemical Warfare droppin' on 4/7 via Koch Records E1 Entertainment.

The Step Brothers (Evidence & Alchemist) lay it down for the latest video from Ev's upcoming The Layover EP (11/25). The video is for "So Fresh" and shows the duo skateboarding and weed copping down in SoCal, livin' that good life.
We tried to warn y'all about the stash of ridiculously hot videos Evidence has compiled for tracks off his upcoming EP/DVD, The Layover. "The Far Left" is another one off the project and features Ev, The Alchemist (rapping and producing) and Fashawn all repping Cali hard. The video is inspired by Bob Dylan's classic "Subterranean Homesick Blues" which was later borrowed by INXS for their "Mediate" video. Don't play yourself with some factory speakers on this one, turn the woofers up 'cause this one bangs.
We've been letting you know about Decon's latest release, Fresh Rhymes and Videotape for a minute via our exclusive pre-order. Today the DVD/CD officially drops. If you weren't convinced by "The FRV Anthem," here's another banger that should get you over to the OKP store to make that purchase. Alchemist teams up with Dilated Peoples for this song "The Last is First."

We hope you all watched VH1's Hip Hop Honors last night, at least to catch The Roots performing a special tribute to Isaac Hayes. More on that later. In the mean time, to further celebrate the event, Mick Boogie, NahRight, PressPlayFashionforward, and LRG hooked up for The Honor Roll Mixtape. Mick took some of the hottest in the game and had them remake classics from last night's honorees; Cypress Hill, De La Soul, Slick Rick, Too Short, and Naughty by Nature. Artists on the tape include; Freeway, Alchemist, Evidence, Tanya Morgan, Skyzoo, Joell Ortiz, Pac Div, Talib Kweli, Little Brother and more. To give you a sample, here is one of the many heat rocks off the project with U-N-I's rendition of De La's "Stakes Is High" produced by the homie 6th Sense.
