Miss Info posted a nice video summarizing last night's FREE Q-Tip concert in NYC presented by Okayplayer. It begins with an acapella from Tip followed by his verse from Busta Rhymes & A Tribe Called Quest's "Wild Hot," then "Find My Way" (shamz and I agree, one of the top 5 Dilla beats of all time), followed by his single "Gettin' Up," "Vivrant Thing," and then "Scenario".... when BUSTA BUS comes out for his verse and blows the lid off the Knitting Factory. Busta then did "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See" (partially in the video) followed by his latest song"Arab Money" (after the jump) which comes complete with some pretty funny crowd participation.
Above is the LP version of the ATCQ song, "Scenario," that most of us have known and loved for years without even knowing about the original versions that were left on the cutting room floor. Courtesy of the boards, and unKut.com, here is an unreleased version of "Scenario" featuring De La Soul, Black Sheep & Leaders Of The New School. Go to unKut.com to read the very interesting back story on this one.
Terrence Jennings' photos from Rock The Bells 2008 [click here for info and tour dates] at Chicago's Tinley Park this past Saturday July 19th featuring Rakim, Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Q-Tip, De La Soul, Mos Def, Method Man, Redman, Immortal Technique, Fred Hampton Jr., B-Real, Jay Electronica, Supernatural, DJ Beverly Bond, and more... after the jump.
In this interview ATCQ talks about headlining this years Rock The Bells tour and what artists in the game currently inspire them. Phife reveals that he is working on an album with Ali Shaheed. Q-Tip is absent from the video as he puts the finishing touches on his solo album. From the sound of things, it looks like plenty of good Native Tongues music is on the way. Good lookin on the link, Tunji.
