OKP Style Exclusive: Petite Noir Unveils 'King Of Anxiety' Tee w/ South African Fashion Brand YOH!

Photographer: Kent Andreasen. Styling: Patrick Visser.

If you've follow Okayplayer and Okayafrica you already knew Petite Noir was that kid to watch; collaborating with Yasiin Bey, scooped up by Solange Knowles to open for her Brooklyn show (not to mention inclusion on her Saint Heron comp) and, most of all, creating waves--Noirwave, specifically--with his distinctive sound. Today, following hotly on the heels of his The King Of Anxiety EP (out on Domino Records as of February 22nd) Petite Noir AKA wünderkind Yannick Ilunga has given OKP Style the exclusive debut of his official King Of Anxiety tee, produced in collaboration with South Africa's Cape Town-based YOH! style imprint (see YOH!s 2014 lookbook here).

Featuring an image of the young Yannick Ilunga in a shot taken at the family home in Paris circa 1992, the photo has been chosen to represent the journey he's traveled to get to this point, the release of his debut EP (The EP cover itself features a close up of Petite Noir as a grown kid, marking the end of the first leg of his journey). Petite Noir is no stranger to the world of fashion, having collaborated previously with Gold Coast Trading on a tuff capsule collection. Between the excitement his music is currently generating and his well-established street-style caché, we are about 100 percent that these KOA x YOH! tees will be flying off the racks like the collector's item they are. We recommend you get your licks in early in the game. For more information, contact yohevents23@gmail.com and hit the links below to cop:
