Statik Selektah Shares The Soulful Unreleased 'Lucky 7' Cut "Couldn't Tell" ft. Black Thought

Statik Selektah ft. Black Thought - "Couldn't Tell"

Is 2015 the year of the boss Black Thought feature? Just yesterday, we had the pleasure of bringing y'all a mythical, first-ever link up between DJ Premier & Tariq on PRhyme's "Wishin' II." Weeks before that, Thought went to work over a choice flip of Bob James' "Nautilus" on Freddie Gibbs' hard-hitting "Extradite." And today, Statik Selektah has relinquished "Couldn't Tell"; a track that was left on the cutting room floor from his summer release Lucky 7, featuing Riq with some fiery verbiage over a very slick soul chop from one of the best producers in the game. It may have been left off the original pressing, but this is one loosie you won't want to miss. And so to answer my opening inquiry, yes. It certainly appears to be that way. Hear Black Thought grace Statik Selektah's soulful unreleased Lucky 7 cut "Couldn't Tell" below and if you've yet to cop the full album, head over to iTunes and grab a copy today. Here's hoping this joint lands on wax with some sort of deluxe repackaging in the very near future. Perhaps even a RSD 2016-exclusive 45? A man can dream, can't he?
