Having just finished watching Star Wars: Rogue One (I know, sue me!) — I am still on a galaxy, far, far away type high. It has been months since news about the newest film, Star Wars: Episode VIII has hit the web. Now, after speculation (and a title change), we finally get our true first look at the new film.

Courtesy of the Star Wars Celebration currently going on in Orlando, FL, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the latest chapter in the beloved sci-fi franchise. Without giving too much away, Rey (Daisy Ridley) is still with her new master, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and the continued threat of evil looms off in the distance.

Now, this is a teaser trailer, so it may be hard to truly decipher the plot line for the film, but it does look like it will go left from where Star Wars: Episode VII went right into nostalgia lane. The best moment for me was seeing that there is some sort of battle going on and the rebel forces have to escort Fin (John Boyega) from out of harm’s way.

Let me stop flapping my gums. Watch the Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer below:

In addition to the aforementioned stars, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which hits theaters Dec. 15, will also feature Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong’o, the late Carrie Fisher, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran.
