St. Michael Rides His Own Wave with New Video "Splash"

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

The homie St. Michael takes things to the left with his new video “Splash.” St. Michael smoothly flows over some tight production from Mainframe and speaks to the ills of society, but noting that in-spite of all of these things “the water still flows… splash.” St. Michael breaks down the song to Fader:

The song and lyrics stands for all ghettos around the world that are losing souls one by one due to police brutality, gang violence & miscommunication. When you hear the word ‘Splash,’ it's a reminder to not go with the flow, but to be the flow like water, stay positive, and refrain from hurting people.

The symbolism is heavy in the visuals, but the message is more than clear. Watch the Jon Jon directed video for St. Michael’s “Splash,” below.
