Solo Woods - "H2O"
If there's one thing you learn about living in NYC, it's that the city never ceases to amaze with the depths of its artistic pool. One voice that has solidified this notion for me is that of Solo Woods; a multifaceted musician and songwriter that hits all of the right notes with ease. He's a rare breed, really, blending classic and contemporary r&b with a soaring vox and the guitar chops to boot, borrowing as much from Curtis Mayfield's wispy six-string strut as Frank Ocean's eternal cool.
Today, Woods has shared yet another brilliant showcase of his utility as a songwriter and vocalist, relinquishing the breezy and infectiously funky new single "H2O." Here you'll find the Berklee alum stretching out over a buoyant, key-led groove, written, performed and produced almost entirely by Woods himself with contributions from Jack DeBoe and mastering from the legend, Bob Power.
