Skyzoo‘s #debateteamtuesdays comes to its’ conclusion today with the release of his latest mixtape, The Great Debater (presented by Jamla & Jordan Brand). After hitting us week after Cosby-covered week with banger after banger we now have the full 16 track tape. Features on the tape include Jesse Boykins III, Manhattan, and King Mez, with production from 9th Wonder, !llmind, Swiff D., Best Kept Secret, Oh No, E. Jones, Fatin, Eric G., 14KT & C-Sick. Can’t wait to give this a listen. And then 50 more listens as I try to decode every obscure reference and poetic gem Skyzoo drops. Seriously one of the most thoughtful MC’s out there… he’s been my favorite performer this year. Like early-era Mos Def, but consistently hip-hop, and the experimentation is kept confined to the lyrical content.
