Earlier today we wrote about how Simone Biles is a super hero and, well, that might actually be true (ok, not entirely but kind of). The 19-year-old Olympic athlete completed her run at the 2016 Rio Olympics today, and earned another gold medal.

Biles, alongside her Final Five teammate Aly Raisman, took the top two spots in the floor exercise competition, with the former winning gold and the latter, silver. Ultimately, four out of the five medals Biles received were gold (with only one being bronze).

Because of this she has become the first American woman to win four gold medals in a single Olympics, and has now joined an esteemed group of women who have also won four gold medals at a single Olympics: Larisa Latynina (USSR); Agnes Keleti (Hungary); Vera Caslavska (Czech Republic); and Ekaterina Szabo (who was the most recent one up until Biles). No gymnast has won five medals at an Olympics since Nastia Liukin in 2008.

Speaking to the Daily Mail Biles said that she looks forward to returning to a normal life back in the United States, as well as voiced her thoughts on her team's incredible work at this year's Olympics.

"It has been a phenomenal experience," Biles said. "Our whole team did a very good job and I think the people back home in the U.S. could be proud of us."

She also added:

"It is pretty insane (four golds and a bronze) what I have accomplished at my first Olympics. It is definitely very rewarding and I am proud of myself...I hope people remember our passion and our drive towards this sport and our good sportsmanship to each other and we had fun…and that is why we are so successful."

It's incredible to see the history Biles has made in these recent weeks, serving as a testament to the young adult's undeniable ambition and strength. Keep on being great, Biles.
