The Manhattan School of Music's Harlem Nights series comes to the legendary Apollo Theater for a performance of Ask Your Mama - a multimedia performance based upon Langston Hughes' original work Ask Your Mama: 12 Moods For Jazz. The performance features Grammy Award-winning soprano Jessye Norman, Emmy Award-winning composer Laura Karpman and jazz vocalist Nnenna Freelon. They will be led by conducter George Manahan with support from the Manhattan School of Music's Chamber Sinfonia. Tickets for the performance on March 23rd, start at $35.
