Shawty Lo Killed In Fatal Car Crash

The Atlanta hip-hop community is served a mighty blow as we learn that D4L rapper Carlos "Shawty LoWalker died in a fatal car crash in the early hours of the morning. According to The Atlanta Journal Constitution, police have reported that Lo's white Audi burst into flames after jumping a guardrail.

Lo was perhaps best known for his contribution to the 2005 hit "Laffy Taffy" and his breakout album Units In The City, featuring the T.I.diss record, "Dunn Dunn." He was also a notoriously promiscuous character, who once had a development deal for an MTV reality show that focused on his eleven children from 10 different mothers.

Our hearts are with Walker's friends and family as they process this loss. Expect the gamut of ATL rappers to weigh in on Shawty Lo's death in the hours and days ahead. Other than a note delivered by Lo's brother via Twitter, no statement from the family has been issued just yet.
