Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings stand triumphant and willing to show a little more skin in the official video for “Stranger To My Happiness” directed by Rob Hatch-Miller and Puloma Basu. The video for the track from their highly-anticipated Give The People What They Want LP features Sharon Jones back at the helm, belting out a tune with a bit less on top. While Jones may have lost some hair following the cancer diagnosis that sidelined the band this past year, she’s retained every single ounce of soul. The Dap-Kings make a decidedly joyful noise as Sharon Jones reclaims her place at the mic, making it clear that she does not intend to concede defeat. The celebratory clip comes ahead of the release of their forthcoming 10-track LP, which drops on January 14th. Check the footage below to watch the official video for “Stranger To My Happiness” from Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings. Purchase Give The People What They Want via iTunes. Stay tuned for more.
