R&B stars Sam Smith and John Legend have dropped a brand new collaboration track, and it's beautiful for all the right reasons. Working in beautiful, stripped-down harmony, the two singers re-recorded Smith's mega hit "Lay Me Down," blending their voices into harmonies that are almost too beautiful to bear.

The record was made in support of the UK chapter of Comic Relief, a charity that, amongst many other great works, offers British LBGTQ youth support. "I recently visited a Comic Relief-funded project in my hometown," Smith told Billboard. "I'm extremely proud that my single will help raise money for projects like this and many others in the UK and across Africa."

Sam Smith and Legend performed their new duet to commemorate Comic Relief's Red Nose Day, a 24-hour fundraiser that asks that people wear red "clown noses" to school and work, donating money to Comic Relief and encouraging others to do the same. Red Nose Day this year falls on Friday, March 13th.

Legend had nothing but high praise to sing for his "Lay Me Down" collaborator. "Sam is such a talented artist. We've been looking forward to working together for a while now," Legend said. The single is also available on iTunes, and proceeds of its sale will go to the best of causes. Purchase "Lay Me Down" here.
