Salaam Remi Lets The Records Do The Work on 'Rhythm Roulette'

Salaam Remi Cuts Up Classics on 'Rhythm Roulette'

Forgive the late pass, good people. The residual gravy train clogged up our attention span so heavy we almost let a legendary showing from Salaam Remi duck our radar. But fear not, the train has officially passed, and Remi's here to show you how to let the records do the work on a new installment of Mass Appeal's consistently-proper, Rhythm Roulette

Where many producers have navigated the rigidity of their random selections by smoothing out the edges with their own live in-studio touched, Remi leaves his chops largely unaffected, grabbing a jabs of organs from one, snare hits from another and an off-kilter vocal from the last, before shipping it out for the world to hear. Earlier this year, Remi was at the helm of Miguel's silk-smooth loosie, "Come Through And Chill," and also partnered with The Amy Winehouse Foundation to announce the "Back To Black" cover contest.

Before that we was featured on Anthony Hamilton's "Amen," along with The Roots' James Poyser. See the master at work live and direct from NYC's storied QUAD Studios in the latest episode of Rhythm Roulette and hold tight for Salaam Remi's next transmission.
