Russell Crowe Performs "Folsom Prison Blues" On The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon & The Roots

Russell Crowe stopped by The Tonight Show to promote his new film Noah and served up a show-stopping performance of Johnny Cash‘s “Folsom Prison Blues” featuring Jimmy Fallon on harmonica with backup from The Roots. While Fallon has been pretty adept at showcasing the hidden talents of his celebrity guests, the backwater blues accompaniment he delivered during their set proves he’s got a few more tricks up his sleeve.       Um. Not sure what either of those have to do with the fact that Russell Crowe’s voice is marginally better than Lou Reed’s and his guitar work is passable. If he weren’t Russell Crowe he’d be a fun guy to sit around and play with on the porch but he wouldn’t be a working musician. No big deal. He’s got a day job.
