His latest explorations in sound are the slow-cooked result of a conversation with his Wondaland brother Chuck Lightning of Deep Cotton about what it might sound like if D’Angelo covered Radiohead. The unctuous and utterly stunning byproduct of Roman GianArthur’s efforts to meld the iconic sounds of these artists was on full display in Austin recently, where he previewed new music during the Okayplayer Showcase at SXSW 2014.
