Robin Thicke's Still Trying To "Get Her Back" In A Stirring New Video

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Robin Thicke lets loose a rather somber new visual for his "cop a plea" single "Get Her Back" off his upcoming LP Paula. While at this point its certainly no secret that the chart-reigning crooner has been trying to rekindle things with his estranged wife Paula Patton, I'm not sure that airing all your problems out in public and including (actual?) text messages between the two of yas in the video is the best course of action. Not to mention showing up in the video as some embattled lover with actual bruises and cuts on your face. Are those the battle-scars of your shitty relationship Robin? I mean to jump straight to naming your album after your ex-wife seems a bit desperate--though whether it's pleading is aimed at the object of his affection or to his audience, it's not totally clear. C'mon, son. Whatever happened to the good ol' Cusack way? Boom-box over your head. In the rain. Dammit Thicke, where are you rom-com chops at homie? In any case, watch Robin Thicke's latest effort to get his wife back in a simply sad visual for "Get Her Back" below. You got to give him one thing, whether this particular stratagem has the desired effect in terms of cupcakings or chart-toppings---it's a pretty fly song.
