Yeah, people. We had to do this. We’re sure everyone has their (potentially very strong) opinions on Rick Ross and Dr. Dre –and even Jay-Z for that matter –but this royal rumble is too enormous to pass on. Plus Jake One adds OKP-cred by cooking up some high class Soul food on that beat. Besides Dre and Rozay throwing in some product placement for headphones and Maybachs respectively, Jigga goes in nobly on that 40 something-tip. What do you think?

Anything with Jay and Dre warrants at least one listen. Jake one trumps them both on this track with that beat though.

boring….wack beat…..no feeling….damn you, these cats are old in this bizz right now, and rappin wack bulls%$t ryhmes….

    • rickyrose

wow…did you say “wack beat”? I know its opinion and that’s cool. But that’s soul music and the power of simplicity. Did you say “old.” You must be young with no plans to grow. One of the reasons why other genre’s have more credibility and longevity is artists are allowed to break 25 yrs old. Doesn’t seem the case with hip hop fans that make comments like that. I’m surprised you’re on this site. It’s saturated with old souls se.po.
      Just saying

Hey, if you don’t think they brought it that’s fine. I just wonder what you mean when you say “old in this bizz.” IMO, their age or time in the game shouldn’t be part of the critique. If anything, it should be respected. I’m tired of people, not necessarily you, treating a music genre like a athletic sport where only the young are relevant. In a sport where many die young, I appreciate longevity. Maybe you will when you’ve listened to hip hop 25+ and heard young cats spit things you’ve heard 100x over like its new.

  • rickyrose

BTW, I don’t care for the braggadocio lyrics as much as I used to. I guess when you’ve heard 20 yrs of it, you’ve heard it all. Jake One is the truth tho.

@ rickyrose: me, young? fortunately still. no plans to grow?? – maybe your opinion about somebody you don’t know….but in the hip hop, soul, rnb, jazz etc… game for many many years – so – dre is old in this game, rick ross too and jay even, what do you want me to tell bro’?? – puttin these 3 cats together and they produce a wack sh*%t like this one here…. sorry ma friend, but for me it is a waste of time.

Not a big Rick Ross fan. But this track is dope!!!!

  • KD06

Solid no fronting on this. As far as Pop/Radio Rap Rick Ross is making the best music. Shallow as it maybe it’s still good music…
