Rae Sremmurd Loves Miss Piggy, Are Fans Of Shirley Temple

Recap: The 2016 Trillectro Festival Created A 'No Flex Zone' For Audiophiles

Rae Sremmurd are fun. Have you heard Sremmlife 2 yet? Specifically the album's standout song "Black Beatles"? Well, you should. Sure, summer is almost over, but that song will help you enjoy the remaining days of the season so much more.

Anyways, the Sremmurd boys are the latest guests to appear on Pitchfork's "Over/Under" segment, and it's predictably great and hilarious.

The two discuss everything from raccoons and ramen to mom jeans and Miss Piggy, leading to one of the greatest sentences to ever be uttered in the English language.

"Miss Piggy is like, the first thot," says Aaquill "Slim Jimmy" Brown. "Just know Kermit the Frog was in that thang."

But the best moment of the entire conversation might be Khalif "Swae Lee" Brown's rendition of Shirley Temple's "Animal Crackers In My Soup," which Rae Sremmurd now need to turn into a hook for a song.

Rae Sremmurd were one of the standout performances of this year's FYF Fest. The rap duo also performed alongside Grace Jones, Kendrick Lamar, Blood Orange, Kelela, Vince Staples, Tame Impala and Denzel Curry, bringing a lively set to the annual California music festival. Here's a little taste of what we said about their performance:

"Rae Sremmurd showcased how they were made of pure energy, as they had every hand in the air during 'No Flex Zone,' 'Come Get Her' and 'Throw Some Mo.' During their set, they also illuminated the night with their new hits, ending their maniacal blowout with 'Black Beatles,' which features the legendary group, The Migos. They even got a bit radical during the night, screaming 'Fuck Donald Trump' into the vast blackness of the night."
