We can't acknowledge the birthday of all the artists and musical personalities we admire but we could not let today pass without saying a heartfelt "go shorty" to acknowledge the 80th Birthday of music legend Quincy Jones. I am not going to even play myself by trying to list the many items on his longest-of-all-possible-resumés but here's the cliff notes: He played trumpet with Dizzy Gillespie. He made "We Are The World." He founded VIBE magazine. And he produced Michael Jackson's Thriller.
