This is not a drill. In a new interview, Pharrell Williams has spoken directly to our funkiest, wildest dreams, confirming that a new album project from N.E.R.D. is currently in the works. Or, at the very least, happening at some point. Let's review.
Everything hinges on a single tweet, sent by Pharrell, during an iHeartRadio Q&A session. The wildly successful vocalist, songwriter and producer was asked "Are you going to make another N.E.R.D. album ????," to which he replied "OF COURSE!"
At the moment, this is all we've got to go off of, and one could make the argument that so long as Pharrell is making music and on speaking terms with fellow N.E.R.D. members Chad Hugo and Shae Haley, a new record is, in some way, headed our way. Really in this case it's the question that means the most: if we keep asking for new N.E.R.D., one has to hope it will get here sooner, rather than later.
