Watch The Trailer For "Kicks," A Coming Of Age Story Centered Around Sneaker Culture
The film Kicks will be released on DVD and Blu ray in the coming days. If you're more of a digital/streaming type of person you can watch it on YouTube, iTunes, or Amazon. The film follows the story of 15-year-old Brandon, a kid who lives in an environment that's not too kind. From poverty, social inequality, the pressures of masculinity, to being bullied and not being able to get girls to notice him, it's rough. After working hard to save up, Brandon cops some black and red Jordan 1s. But the shoes make him a target. They're stolen. Brandon, determined not to give up, goes on a long and arduous quest throughout the Bay Area to retrieve them. Kicks initially premiered at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival on April 14, 2016. The film was directed by Justin Tipping and was written by Joshua Beirne-Golden and Tipping. The film stars Jahking Guillory, Christopher Meyer, Christopher Jordan Wallace, Kofi Siriboe, and Mahershala Ali. Watch a trailer for Kicks via YouTube below.
