The fact that Boyslashfriend debuted his debut LP Low Key at an exclusive New York Fashion Week party should tip you off: the young R&B singer-songwriter makes music cut across clean lines that bring to mind people and places that mere mortals couldn't possibly afford. Draping the arched-back yearning of The Weeknd with gleaming club-pop synths that have never gone out of style, Boyslashfriend creates, in his own words, "songs you should sext to." There's quite possibly no better way to phrase it.

Okayplayer is pleased to present the world premiere of Boyslashfriend's newest music video for "Textures," which arrives decked out in neutral colors and plenty of New York cool (plus supermodels, naturally). We see sunlit metallic kitchens, populated beds and empty karaoke clubs all connected by the city's bright lights. And while there's no actual sexting in "Textures," its prevailing moods and repeating hook of "I've been waiting all night for you to come home" gets the point across and then some.

"Textures" is a sample of what's waiting on Low Key, Boyslashfriend's debut album out now on Feel Up Records. Watch the track's official video below, pick up Low Kew today, and if you’re in NYC, make plans to see Boyslash perform at Feel Up’s CMJ showcase at Louie & Chan (in LES) on Oct 14 and again at SOBs club on October 22nd.
