OKP News: John Legend Develops New TV Series for Showtime

According to deadline, okayplayer-for-life John Legend is teaming up with director Jesse Dylan (son of folk/rock legend Bob Dylan) to develop a new music-focused TV series for the Showtime cable channel. The pair have already taped a special at famous Los Angeles recording studio EastWest, which featured Faith Hill and rapper B.O.B.–performing a duet on “Son of a Preacher Man” with Legend accompanying on piano, as well as belting out their own solo material. The pilot is currently in series consideration at Showtime and a second taping is slated to happen before the Grammys on February 12th. In addition to being the host, Legend would be n executive producer of the series.
