SPEAKING of D’Angelo-watchers, more early-2012 dates for the elusive voodoo child have appeared at European venues. We haven’t actually confirmed the Amsterdam dates we posted a while back so we take all of these developments with a grain of salt but in addition to those, both Le Zenith in Paris (Jan. 29th) and Brixton Academy in London (Feb 3rd–ticket info here) have added dates to their websites. Like everybody else, we have been disappointed by false rumors and bogus postings of D’Angelo shows in the last few years. But what with Questo speaking openly about the new D’Angelo album in legitimate print publications, it feels at least a little more real. Keep the faith!

You guys need to read your own forums more. There’s been dates confirmed for both Stockholm and Copenhagen aswell. With an interview with the Swedish promoter saying that D’angelo is hoping to release a single before the tour starts.

What is reading the boards suppose to prove? Its been done in the past with D’Angelo where so called promoters booked him shows and someone said he’s going to release something, then folks get all hyped on the “boards” and it didn’t happen. When word comes from someone more reputable, like his manager and/or record label, then I’ll believe it.
