Grammy time is fun time here at Okayplayer because that’s when our favorite artists—both the platinum sellers and the unsung geniuses—get the shine they so richly deserve, the time when musical prowess generally trumps marketing magic. And we don’t want to jinx anybody but that is why the artists that we regularly support  here on OKP generally clean up at Grammy time, Betty Wright-style. We’re still marinating on our official OKP year-end best-of lists (and there’s still a few big releases to come before we close the books on 2011) but considering the incredible presence that OKP-affiliated artists have on the list of nominations for this year, we thought it would be extra fun to put together a MOG playlist of 2011 Grammy jams from Okayplayer regulars. Here are the rules: All these artists have been nominated in one category or another in this year’s awards. The songs themselves have either been nominated or are included on an LP that was nominated in 2011 (no white labels). That’s it. Without further ado, find below in no particular order our Top 15 Grammy jams for 2011 and listen to the playlist on MOG (this article fueled by Hyundai Veloster).
