Okayplayer has teamed with The Brooklyn Flea for their long-awaited Philadelphia launch at The Piazza this Sunday, June 2nd. The kick-off on Sunday marks the beginning of a weekly market featuring 100 vendors selling furniture, vintage clothing, collectibles and antiques in the bright outdoor venue full of great businesses and dope vibes. There will also be jewelry, arts, crafts and plenty of great food from local artisans and vendors. What better way to unwind from the 6th Annual Roots Picnic than another party? You can even cop some pretty cool stuff while you’re at it. The post-picnic brunch party celebrating the Philadelphia launch of The Brooklyn Flea will feature the sounds of Okayplayer’s very own DJ ?uestlove rocking with the Illvibe Collective‘s DJ PHSH and Soulville representatives DJ Blaak The 9th Man and MC Fatnice. The DJs will be spinning from 12 AM to 5 PM. The market opens at 10 AM, rain or shine. Do not miss this. It’s going to be massive. Check the flyer for details. See below for directions. Come prepared to dance!

weak as shit. Philadelphia doesn’t need any more brooklyn hand outs. Brooklyn Flea Philly…. fuck outta here… way to bring in brooklyn food and vendors… meanwhile philadelphia stays strugglin to get their own art vendors some shine.

    • Iller than you.

” There will also be jewelry, arts, crafts and plenty of great food from local artisans and vendors. ”

      — perhaps you missed this part.

*message brought to you by the School District of Philadelphia and every fucking optometrist in your fucking city.

    • still the illest

over 75 vendors and less than 1/3 are philly based. hope u are doing more to help the PSD than you are for local philly business

Its the 1st fucking show son, damn! Give it some fucking time…this is a flea market not a god damn public works project….this isn’t trying to solve all of Philly’s problems.

went and stayed about twenty minutes. i prefer real philly flea markets. but i guess the piazza is pretty much the sickths burough of hipster nyc anyway

I seriously don’t understand these comments. It was great today at Brooklyn Flea and I saw many names from Philadelphia and surrounding PA communities. It was not “weak as shit” at all. As people on the street said “it was bumping.” I’m part of the new PHAIR at 23 & ARCH, so how about if all the complainers get up there and support 100% locals. Haven’t seen you there, where quality artisans are dying for support. Having lived in Brooklyn, too, I hope to anchor both spots. ~ Anne Enke
