Okayafrica serves up a special treat with the arrival of "Nouh Al Hamam" - the collaborative track from Oddisee and Maryam Saleh for the forthcoming Sawtuha compilation from Berlin based NGO Media In Cooperation and Transition and Jakarta Records. "Nouh Al Hamam" is the first track to leak from the project featuring music from 9 female singers and musicians from Egypt, Tunisia and Libya. The Sudanese-American producer and Egyptian songstress get an assist on the track from Swedish producer Olof Dreijer. The result is a track with true school aesthetic and enchanting vocals that might make you wonder what the Adhan would sound like set to the sound of the bass, kick and snare. Check the track below to listen to "Nouh Al Hamam" from Maryam Saleh and Oddisee. Stay tuned for Sawtuha, dropping on January 24th. Pre-order Sawtuha via Bandcamp. Learn more about the track and project via Okayafrica.
