NYC: Black Thought & DJ ?uesto Kool Herc Benefit 5/17

This coming Tuesday May 17 Black Thought and ?uestlove will be putting down a “two turntables and a microphone” set at BB Kings for Hip-hop Appreciation Week. The event is a benefit for founding father Kool Herc (who as we reported, is sick and in need of help with medical bills) as well as a birthday celebration for Grandmaster Melle Mel, who was also present at the signing of rap’s declaration of independence. Also on the bill are Jeru Tha Damaja, Force MDs, T Ski Valley, Freedom Williams, AG & DJ Jazzy Jay, so it promises to be fairly epic. More details after the jump, purchase tickets here.
