Another Michigan export, Nitty Scott MC makes quite an impression on this jazzy cut “Flower Child”–the type of beat I can only describe as ‘muzak boom bap.’ Complimenting her buttery flow–almost spoken word in a Ladybug-esque way–Nitty enlists Kendrick Lamar to provide the hook. K-Dot is not here just to have his name on the tracklist though, showing the intensity that’s made him one of the most hyped-about artist in years on a ferocious third and a half verse. But Nitty’s refreshingly original concept and viewpoint is really makes the track. Respect her photosynthesis.
