Nile Rodgers continues his run as the most ubiquitous presence in the music game with the recent signing to Warner Brothers, setting the stage for a new Chic LP, which will apparently arrive this June. Rodgers has spent the better part of his post - "Get Lucky" stretch touring the world and reacquainting the disco dudes and dames with their foundational sampledelic catalogue and making his chops known in pop sphere's most decorated artists, including Lady Gaga, Adam Lambert and the like. What's potentially even more exciting is the fact that WB has taken Rodgers' Land Of The Good Groove Records under their wing, which could prove to be the first steps towards reissuing his solo studio efforts Adventures In The Land Of The Good Groove (helmed in collaboration with righthand bass-man Bernard Edwards) and B-Movie Matinee. If you've been itching for the perennial hit-maker's signature six-string strut, it appears you won't have to wait much longer. Just keep it locked for all the updates in the weeks and months to come. Tune in April 18th for Rodgers' long overdue induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame alongside fellow "Let's Dance" architect and blues guitar legend Stevie Ray Vaughan, soulsmith Bill Withers and a slew of more questionable classmates.
