Watch Nile Rodgers Make A Whopping $19 Busking On The Street Of London This Weekend
Nile Rodgers, industry vet and hit-making machine for over 30 damn years, took to the mean streets of London this weekend to see if he could make a day's pay busking with the best of them. Perhaps taking a cue from Miss Badu(who took to Times Square in a similar venture months ago) Rodgers, posted up with his legendary six-string and played a few tunes for some unsuspecting passerbys, not necessarily veiling his identity by any means, but certainly playing a fun little prank on South End's citizenry. And get this, he actually made himself a little chunk of change, pulling in a whopping 12.30 (or $19.47 USD.)
Just goes to show how you never know who will be strumming along on the side of the street these days. That scraggly cat busting out his best rendition of "Le Freq" could be the very man responsible for the penning the cut and so many more disco classic. So you better keep your head on a swivel, music loving people of the world. Next time it could be Prince. Well, maybe not Prince, but you get the idea.
