Neneh Cherry follows the release of "Out Of The Black" - her lead single featuring Swedish pop star Robyn - with a full stream of the forthcoming Blank Project LP produced by FourTet and Rocketnumbernine. The project - Cherry's first in 18 years - is equal parts electronica, deconstructed pop and spoken word with a delectably rugged sound that is at least partially derived from her days as a scion of counter-culture with the advent of the Raw Like Sushi LP and the hit single "Buffalo Stance." The somewhat introspective lyrical content is less concerned with the proliferation of cool as Cherry includes social commentary and an interesting palette of vocal techniques that match the contrasts in production from track to track.
