Nas teams with Mary J. Blige to spread holiday cheer with "Rise Up Shepherd" - their collaborative track from the original soundtrack to the forthcoming Black Nativity film from director Kasi Lemmons entitled Black Nativity (Music From The Motion Picture). The film based on Langston Hughes' classic play of the same name stars Jones and Blige alongside Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett. Blige's character brings a little magic to the narrative about a Christmas in Harlem. This may be the first time Nas has graced the silver screen since Belly - the glossy 1998 cult classic from director Hype Williams.
