Nas said this once on "Book of Rhymes," a standout track off of his God Son album.

If only Nas knew how wrong he would be.

For the last five years, Nas and Harvard University have had a cozy relationship. Not only did the ivy league school establish the Nasir Jones Fellowship, the university handed Nas the W.E.B. DuBois Medal.

The legendary rapper and the university continue their close relationship. Poetry in America has just put out a great new video featuring Nas and Harvard poetry professor Elisa New.

The video is exclusively about "It Ain't Hard to Tell," the first single from Nas' masterpiece Illmatic. Esco deconstructs some lines from his iconic track. It's an interesting video because it's clear that the two are teaching each other things about the craft of writing.
