Most Of My Heroes Don't Appear On No Stamp...Until Now

That’s right y’all. US Postal Service is finally addressing popular demand for a series of stamps that takes the legacies of our tradition’s innovators to heart. In a move that is sure to stir up some ruckus from who ever the hell still uses stamps, the US Postal service will honor Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, James Brown, Sarah Vaughan, Sam Cooke and in a separate release Michael Jackson. The Music Icon set will debut this year with Jimi and Joplin, but will continue with the rest of this bright roster of game-changers and industry luminaries in 2015. No word on the first release date, but if you’re someone who still uses stamps, you might get the drop before we do.

So, of the 8 Music Icons mentioned here, all are dead and only 1/4 are female. More female musician deserve to be included than what the selectors have deemed worthy of the tag, ” Music Icon” !

    • Really?

wow Julie…no time to rejoice huh? Your glass is way too half empty.
