MF DOOM's 2009 Solo LP 'Born Like This' Is Getting A Limited Vinyl Reissue

Back in 2009, MF DOOM returned to the world--like any true villain would after a five years hiatus--stronger, more ferocious, more focused than ever on his sixth studio album Born Like This. The album was a critical darling despite its underwhelming sales, finding the metal-toothed monster grappling with ghetto politics, police brutality and socio-economic livelihood well before the call of the Black Lives Matter movement, bringing along a select clientele for a comeback record that reminded the world it would never truly be free of DOOM's grasp, providing ample support on suite of music that was composed of gems from the catalogues of J Dilla, Madlib, Jake One and, of course, his own.

And while the record has since become something of a cult classic, Born Like This will soon be the subject of Lex Records' latest vinyl reissue, treating one of its most coveted (relatively) recent releases to the full-fledged revamp it deserves in 2015, still holding strong as perhaps DOOM's sharpest lyrical outing since the Madvillainy collaboration. Preorders are underway via Lex, with shipments going out as of December 14th, making this a must-cop stocking-stuffer this holiday season. So by all means, treat yo'self, dear true-schoolers. MF DOOM is the gift that keeps on giving.
