Just because Mayer Hawthorne's new album is practically a solo venture, doesn't mean the Tuxedo's a lost cause. Today a remix of his lead-off single from Man About Town has arrived featuring a boogie blessing from Jake One (other half of Tuxedo,) pulling the track out of its yacht rock-leaning late-seventies swing and into the glimmer and gloss of the subsequent decade's synth-slathered funk.
