A California Trump supporter has been accused of threatening to kill Rep. Maxine Waters (D-California) after being angered by remarks she made directed at the current president.

According to a report from the Los Angeles Times, 44-year-old Anthony Scott Lloyd was indicted last week on charges of threatening to kill Waters in a voicemail left at her Washington, D.C., office last month. The voicemail stems from a talk radio show Lloyd was listening to which was reporting about disparaging comments Waters had made about Trump.

"If you continue to make threats toward the president, you're going to wind up dead, Maxine, 'cause we'll kill you," Lloyd said in the voicemail.

Lloyd was arrested following the discovery of the voicemail but he is currently free in lieu of $20,000 bail. Trump has not been the only one to face harsh criticism from Waters. A couple of months back the California Congresswoman called out Ben Carson for calling poverty "a state of mind."

"Look at Ben Carson. My God. My grandmother would call him an educated fool," Waters said during the Congressional Black Caucus annual conference in D.C. "Here's a man who has a reputation of being a highly competent surgeon, but when he talks about poor people, he says they're the cause of their poverty. He doesn't understand why you didn't do what he did and why you didn't make it like he made it. And he doesn't know the difference between slavery and immigration."
