Marvel's 'Inhumans' Headed to IMAX and TV in 2017

For years now rumors of an Inhumans breakout feature in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have plagued the collective consciousness of comic book nerds across the galaxy. Today the comic book giant has revealed that they've struck an "innovative agreement" with IMAX and Disney/ABC Television Group that would bring The Royal Family to (very) big and little screens.

Where we once assumed that Black Bolt, Medusa, Karnak and the like would join their earthly and extraterrestrial superheroes in an Avengers-styled blockbuster, it appears that instead, they'll get their own show on ABC. And the first two episodes of the series are confirmed to be slated for a late summer 2017 premiere both in IMAX theaters and your home entertainment center. The full series will arrive in the fall, marking the first time IMAX has helped produce a television series. So if you felt overwhelmed by the sheer scope of the MCU as it currently stands, get ready to blow a gasket.

No production schedule or precise premiere date has been mentioned just yet, but you can expect more details to arrive in the months ahead. For now, you can always catch Doctor Strange in theaters and anxiously wait with the rest of us for the next installment of Guardians Of The Galaxy , not to mention the forthcoming Spiderman reboot, both arriving next summer ahead of the Inhumans series.
