Video: Ludacris + The Roots “Last Of A Dying Breed” Live on Fallon

As if y’all needed more reasons to watch The Roots‘ new stint on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon every weeknight. Imagine watching some of your favorite emcees perform with The Roots backing them up, and Black Thought rhyming side by side with them. Last night, Ludacris was the musical guest on Fallon, so watch as he performs his song “Last Of A Dying Breed” off of his LP, Theater Of The Mind, with the help of The Legendary.

Wow that was really dope! When I first heard that The Roots were gonna be the house band on Jimmy Fallon I was skeptical. Not because I didn’t think the band could do it musically, but mostly because I was skeptical about what Black Thought was gonna do. However, after seeing their early performances, those doubts have been erased. Good work Roots!

That shit is nice! Fallon will find his groove. I was skeptical at first, and would hate to see the Roots get ‘bamboozeled’ (ironic-remember the movie?). It is a treat to see them everynight.

God damn!!! No disrespect to fellow deejays world wide but ain’t nothing like a live band!! I stayed up way pass my bedtime to see this performance on Jimmy Fallon and it was worth it. Oh and Serena’s bubble….daaaaaaaaaaamn. I know she looks manly up top but from the back……straight donkey son.

I was waiting all week for them to back someone. I thought it would be with Santogold. I love it! In my opinion this is the perfect gig for The Legendary… Bringing out Donald Trump to C.R.E.A.M. was classic. The DVR is set up for every night.

MAn really this shit is corny. Black is to talented to be backing up vocals. Luda and The Roots did they thing but Black should have a verse at least for each artist to showcase his skills. He is not a hype man! To talented for it.
