Lorde Shares A Snippet Of 'Pure Heroine' Outtake "Lost Boys"

Queen B anti-popstress Lorde took to her Tumblr page last night to drop off a snippet of the Pure Heroine outtake "Lost Boys" for fiending fans to chew on. While it's only (maybe) 45 seconds of churchy organs and the Kiwi sensation trading in her raspy growl for a whispery falsetto, "Lost Boys"stands up pretty well to the rest of her catalogue, which is a mish-mosh of touched-up vocal demos recorded when she was but 12 years old and newer recordings from her actual adolescence. This one's a taste of the latter. Listen to Lorde's Pure Heroine outtake "Lost Boys" and read a word from the artist below.

"found this little guy whilst trawling through my archives and thought it would be a cute thing to share with y’all. we wrote this song called lost boys in about march of last year, we spent a day on it and then never touched it again (it was not a good song, i promise, haha). a lot of people asked what happened to lost boys, and i guess you’ll never hear the other three-quarters of the song, but there was something about these bridge melodies i thought was pretty. so here you go – a little pre-christmas look at the cutting room floor. xo"
