If hearing William Hart of The Delfonics crooning "La La La Means I Love You" and "Ready Or Not" live at the Okayplayer Holiday Jam blew your mind (this time--see above) get ready for a full Philly soul meltdown. Wax Poetics are hosting an event on Tuesday, March 12th at Le Poisson Rouge in New York to celebrate the release of Adrian Younge's new LP with Hart, Adrian Younge Presents The Delfonics. Pairing with legendary soul group's lead vocalist, L.A. producer/prodigy Younge has created a soul record for a new generation. Recording on analog tape, the album combined the classic Delfonics sound with 90's hip hop production styles. For more info on the collaboration album, read Wax Poetic's interview with the two.
