'Hamilton's Lin Manuel-Miranda Takes One Last Bow At Final Curtain Call

'Hamilton' Takes Home Pullitzer Prize

Tony Award-winning playwright and actor Lin Manuel-Miranda closed an historic run on Broadway with one last bow during his final curtain call at Hamilton on Saturday night. Miranda, who played Alexander Hamilton, joins fellow actors Leslie Odom Jr. (Aaron Burr) and Philippa Soo (Eliza Schuyler) in departing the show as members of the original cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The composer and star's longtime onstage alternate Munoz will take over the titular role next week, alongside Lexi Lawson as Eliza Schuyler Hamilton. Brandon Victor Dixon will play Aaron Burr beginning in mid-August.

The orchestra played the theme to The West Wing as Miranda, Odom and Soo took their final bows at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City. Miranda ended his groundbreaking run by dancing off the stage to massive applause.
