Lee Bannon - Cope [Album Stream]

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Almost let this one slip through the cracks. Multi-genre producer Lee Bannon has so much heat in the stash, that he’s still blowing minds in 2015 with joints he made 5 plus years ago (you’ll remember we posted the title track off this one some 3 years ago). Anyway, Bannon reaches into the back catalog once again for his latest project, which hit stores yesterday, Cope. You’d be hard pressed to label this guy with a genre, but these projects certainly show the growth from where he first attained fame as the hip-hop producer (collaborating with Pro Era, C Plus, Illecism, and more), to an electronic producer, to drum & bass, and I suppose this one would fall somewhere in the middle of all those transitions. Listen to the ambient sounds of Bannon, below, cop via iTunes (and go back and check Never/Mind/The/Darkness/Of/It? because that’s still my shit).
